Outside of Academia: Learning with Schools and Public Audiences at LSE Library

This CIVICA Café event showcases how LSE Library’s engagement work brings schools and public audiences into conversation with the archives through facilitated workshops, co-produced events, and community-led creative projects.

Chelsea Collison is Learning and Engagement Officer at LSE Library, where she develops public-facing projects that connect archives with contemporary social issues. Her work focuses on co-production, creative practice, and expanding access to history. She runs workshops on archives and activism for school children and programs public events that open LSE’s collections to wider public audiences. She holds a master’s degree in museum studies and has a background in public engagement.

CIVICA Cafés are monthly one-hour Zoom events designed for library staff across the CIVICA alliance. They provide a space to share experiences, best practices, and library innovations in an informal setting. For any questions, contact library@civica.eu.
